  4. Installing:  Please read TIMEKEEP.WRI for installation instructions.
  5.  
  6. UPGRADING from a version 1.x release of TIMEKEEPER:
  7.  
  8.     TimeKeeper 2.3 requires the TIMEKEEP.INI file to be
  9.     located in the directory where you run WINDOWS.  Before starting
  10.     up the new version of TimeKeeper, move the current TIMEKEEP.INI
  11.     file to your windows directory.
  12.  
  13.     If you want to put the INI file elsewhere then start the
  14.     program with the INI filename on the command line as follows.
  15.     
  16.     Put the following statement in your LOAD= line of WIN.INI
  17.     or in the command line field of your ICON's properties settings.

  19.     Example:   C:\WINAPP\TIMEKEEP.EXE C:\WINAPP\TIMEKEEP.INI

  22. Problems:   If you ever encounter problems with TimeKeeper try deleting 
  23.     TIMEKEEP.INI and restart the program.  This should work.  If not
  24.     please send a note to OLENDORF on America Online.

  27. Notes about screen savers:
  28.  
  29.     If you have noticed that sometimes the screen savers do not
  30.     activate while running TimeKeeper, this is why.  This program
  31.     automatically resizes itself to fit the current text.  If
  32.     this resizing happens before the screen saver activates then
  33.     it will reset the screen saver timer (I don't understand yet
  34.     why this happens).  To avoid this, select a font that does
  35.     not have to change the window size when the time changes.
  36.     Most fonts do not change size for numbers even if they are
  37.     proportional.  Then the only time the clock will change size
  38.     is when you go from 12:59 to 1:00 or when the weekday changes.

  40.     I hope this solves the problem although I will not be happy
  41.     until I know why this happens.

  44. Changes to TimeKeeper:

  46. version 1.2    Now saves all info when the clock is moved.
  47.         
  48.         Pester alarm will remind you to register.
  49.         
  50.         Fixes bug so that ALWAYS ON TOP setting will be saved.
  51.         
  52.         Fixes bug with 24 HOUR setting. It would turn off if
  53.         the seconds were on and you entered the control panel.
  54.         
  55.         RUN program now only checks to see if the first word
  56.         entered is a valid file. This should allow parameters
  57.         to be passed to programs.  Also eliminate a terminal
  58.         loop when an invalid path was entered.

  60. version 1.3    All alarm screens will stay ON TOP until answered.
  61.         A non-answered alarm will not stop the clock.
  62.         Multiple alarms will be shown at the same time.

  64.         Faster response when dragging the clock.

  125. the best alarm clock/scheduler it can be.
